BLURB
The town of Stansbury, Vermont has survived over four hundred years of tragic events. The town survived because the otherworldly beings and powerful humans that have always controlled the lives of the people willed them to forget each terrible event.

As the bloody conflict between those forces has been raging, the people have stopped forgetting. Fear and grief have replaced peaceful ignorance and the powers that be no longer care.

In Lakebridge: Autumn, Stansbury will fall.

My Review

In the little town of Stansbury, Vermont, two creatures of great power struggle for supremacy. One is an otherworldly creature bent on escaping its prison. The other is a thing that used to be a man, seeking power over another dimension. Both are beings of evil who have no care for the lives they destroy in  pursuit of their goals. When two such creatures collide, can mortal men and women hope to survive?

Lakebridge Autumn is one of the strangest books I have ever read. The first chapter drew me in immediately, capturing me with its voice and characters. And then I inexplicably found myself inside the mind of a moose, which was odd, to say the least. Worse, something happened at the end of the chapter which was so shocking and unexpected, it made me doubt I could enjoy the rest of the book. But I continued on, figuring I should at least give it a chance. By the end of chapter two, I was hooked again.

This book winds it's way through the minds of the populace of Stansbury, drawing you into each individual story with seamless ease. But just when you think you know what kind of story you're reading, it hits you with the weird. And the further into the story you get, the weirder it is. Wonderfully, fantastically, weird.

You'll never see the ending coming. It stunned me as neatly as the culmination of the first chapter, and had me literally gasping in shock. Lakebridge Autumn is a trip into the fantastic unlike any other I have read, weaving the mundane up in a tapestry of magic that is guaranteed to have you turning the pages long past your bedtime.

Author Bio

Natasha grew up in Southern California and currently lives in the Los Angeles area with her spouse, son, daughter and menagerie of pets, including a Basset named Moose and a very overprotective collie dog. What currently surprises her more than anything about her life is how much of it is just sitting there on Google, there for the taking. This scares her more than anything. The Internet never forgets.
